A meaningful, modern update to the showroom of a family-owned tile business. Celebrated the building as a signage element on the prominent, industrial corner. A steel-mesh curtain elevates its presence and honours the family legacy.
By getting to the heart of what the client truly wanted to achieve, this expressive and evocative design delivered beyond their original brief and expectation. Draped in a theatrical steel-mesh curtain, the layered façade of Myaree Ceramics is fluid and dynamic as it catches the light and shimmers in the wind. The pseudo-Italian building—built by the clients’ father—is still glimpsed beneath, and the curtain carefully shaped to elevate the entrance. Striking Myaree tiles pave the colonnaded terrace, and a three-dimensional-tiled wall casts dappled light across the private outdoor space that it encloses for staff.
